Before launching Parson Lane full-time in the spring of 2019, I worked as the Director of Sales & Marketing for The Great Room at Top of the Hill. (Learn more about my work for Top of the Hill in this blog post!)
Most of my marketing & design work at TOPO centered around The Great Room, TOPO’s all-inclusive private events venue. Fun fact: before I transitioned into a role focused solely on sales & marketing, I ran private events & coordinated weddings for the Great Room! Working with wedding clients to create wedding menus, ceremony programs, signage and more is what introduced me to graphic design work. While I don’t miss working nights and weekends, I cherished my time as a wedding coordinator and will always have the wedding industry to thank for introducing me to graphic design!
Wedding Venue Web Design
Marketing the Great Room presented a unique challenge: since the majority of our business came from weddings, how could we work within the overall TOPO brand to create a distinct and more wedding-appropriate sub-brand for the Great Room? With some tweaks and expansions to the brand’s color palette, along with a separate Squarespace website for the Great Room (which formerly existed as just a page on the overall TOPO website), I created several design solutions to better serve the Great Room’s target market.
